Maverick County Precinct 3 Informs The Public On The USDA Program Assistance















Maverick County Precinct 3   Maverick County Precinct 3 is working together with the USDA Rural Development Program on providing a better quality of life to our residents. The USDA program assistance is available and offered to low-income families in precinct 3. There are several issues that the USDA can assists the residents with. Some of the areas that they assist in are 1% interest rates on home improvements, improvements under health & hazards, payment adjustments according to income, and many more. Commissioner Rosales is encouraging the public and those of you that are interested to come by the office and apply. For more information please call the Precinct 3 Deer Run Office at 773-1716, Monday-Friday 8am -5pm. Applicants must live within precinct 3 and outside of the city limits.

The Kid's Cafe Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Takes Place At The Seco Mines Community Center


Maverick County Precinct 3 – The inauguration and ribbon cutting ceremony for the Kid's Cafe program took place this past tuesday at the Seco Mines Community Center. The ceremony was led by Maverick County Judge David Saucedo, Precinct 3 Commissioner Jose Luis Rosales, and center director David Lopez. This newly adopted program in Maverick County will provide a well prepared nutritious daily meal to nearly 50 students after school.

The South Texas Food Bank Kid's Cafe Is Here And Will Be Starting In A Few Days At The Seco Mines Community Center



















Maverick County Precinct 3 – The Seco Mines Community Center Afterschool Youth Program is here! David Lopez director for the center informs us that this program will be starting in the next couple of days and is encouraging all parents who wish to have their kids involved to register them as soon as possible as space will be limited.

A Chlorine Injection Procedure Has Been Completed At Quemado's Elevated Water Tank


Maverick County Precinct 3 – Just about 2 months have passed since the major breakage occured at the main canal upper retaining wall north of Eagle Pass, leaving hundreds without water. As of today the Maverick County Water Plant continues to fully service the residents of Normandy, Quemado, Radar Base, GEO, and surrounding areas. Commissioner Rosales stated that currently a chlorine injection procedure has been completed at Quemado's elevated water tank. This pocedure will ensure the Maverick County Water Plant meets all the water quality requirements set forth by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). The commissioner stated that the water plant's functions and operations will continue to be monitored frequently to ensure that it is providing the highest quality water service possible to our residents.

Precinct 3 Workers Have Installed A 2" Inch Water Line And Meter At The Hector Munoz Park


Maverick County Precinct 3 – Commissioner Jose Luis Rosales informs us today that the precinct 3 work crew has installed a 2" water line and meter at the Hector Munoz Park. This water line and meter will serve the sprinkler system that is currently installed at the little league baseball field. Commissioner Rosales stated that as soon as more funding is available to the precinct more additions and upgrades will be done, one of those being professional field lighting that is very benificial to the park for evening games.

Commissioner Rosales Encourages The Community To Attend The HOPE-K Ciclovia Festival















Maverick County Precinct 3 – The HOPE-K Trinational Health Council (THC), a community agency dedicated to preventing and reducing diabetes and obesity in Eagle Pass, Texas is gearing up for the first annual Ciclovia Festival.  A Spanish term meaning “bike parkway,” a ciclovĂ­a is a one-day street closure aimed at fostering physical activity and civic pride. The Ciclovia Festival is set to take place Sunday, September 30th from 8am to 12pm. This event will be taking place at the Fort Duncan Park Area and Golf Course in Eagle Pass, Texas.
