Maverick County Precinct 3 – Just about 2 months have passed since the major breakage occured at the main canal upper retaining wall north of Eagle Pass, leaving hundreds without water. As of today the Maverick County Water Plant continues to fully service the residents of Normandy, Quemado, Radar Base, GEO, and surrounding areas. Commissioner Rosales stated that currently a chlorine injection procedure has been completed at Quemado's elevated water tank. This pocedure will ensure the Maverick County Water Plant meets all the water quality requirements set forth by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). The commissioner stated that the water plant's functions and operations will continue to be monitored frequently to ensure that it is providing the highest quality water service possible to our residents.
