Commissioner Rosales Announced Today That A Total Of 428 Tons Of Rubbish And Trash Was Collected From This Past Cleanup Campaign

Maverick County Precinct 3 – Commissioner Jose Luis Rosales, announced today that a total of 428 tons of trash and rubbish were collected in this past cleanup campaign in the areas north of Eagle Pass. The campaign lasted almost 2 weeks and was very successful. The campaign covered the entire precinct which covers the areas of Seco Mines, Siesta Acres, Hopedale, Deer Run, among others. Also included were the communities of Normandy and Quemado, TX. The neighbors cooperated in bringing their debris, branches, wood, mattresses, furniture and items of waste to their sidewalks. Clean-up campaigns are conducted every 8 weeks throughtout precinct 3. Commissioner Rosales commented on the importance of keeping our community clean and repeating this process will eventually lead to a cleaner community for all of our residents.

Great Turnout With Over 80 Participants At The Seco Mines Community Center Loteria Held Last Friday



Maverick County Precinct 3 – The Seco Mines Community Center held a Mexican Loteria last Friday with over 80 participants! Prizes were given which included canned foods, hand soaps, body soaps, laundry detergents, and more. Commissioner Rosales was very pleased with the outcome and participation from the community. The Construction Of The ADA Complaint Ramps Continues At Valeria Park Located In Siesta Acres



Maverick County Precinct 3 – The precinct 3 administration office informed us today that the construction of the ADA compliant handicap ramps continues at Valeria Park located in Siesta Acres Subdivision. Construction workers have begun the construction of these ramps in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This act was enacted to improve the quality of life for the nation's disabled individuals. By following this important guidelines we can assure the public that all buildings and parks located in Precinct 3 will be accessible and compliant to those who must travel with the aid of mobility devices like wheelchairs. ADA Ramps are a crucial aspect of our precinct infrastructure and will be present at Valeria Park and all of our other parks and buildings in the near future commented commissioner Rosales. The Valeria Park will be ready for the public in a few weeks. Curb And Gutter Project Located At South Elm Creek Jazmin Street Has Been Completed



Maverick County Precinct 3 – The contruction at Jazmin Street located in South Elm Creek Subdivision has been completed. Curb has succesfully been installed and is now pending the paving of the entire street, which will be in progress in the next few days. This construction and enhancements will help alleviate the flooding problem the residents have been experiencing. Commissioner Rosales commented that he is taking all neccesary precautions and following strict guidelines to make sure this project has a positive effect on our residents.

A Loteria Mexicana Will Be Held At The Seco Mines Community Center Friday March 23, 2012









Maverick County Precinct 3 – The Seco Mines Community Center will be hosting a Loteria on Friday March 23, 2012 from 10:00am - 12:00pm. There will be a total of 50 prizes which will consist of bags with canned food, hand soaps, body soaps, laundry detergents, and more. These events are being made possible by the ongoing efforts of the Commissioner Jose Luis Rosales working together closely with the following agencies who contribute to the community day in day out. These agencies include Texas Department Of Health Services, Quad Counties Council Colonia Promotor(a) Program, Hope-K Tri National Health Council, United States-Mexico Border Health Commission, and The Office Of Border Health. For more information on future Loteria events you may contact the Seco Mines Community Center at 773-5588.

Free Broccoli Is Being Distributed All Day Today And Tommorow At The Seco Mines Community Center

















Maverick County Precinct 3 – The Seco Mines Community Center will be distributing free Broccoli today. Residents must bring there own bag. This distribution is made possible by the ongoing efforts of the Commissioner Jose Luis Rosales and the donations of the South Texas Food Bank from Laredo, Texas. Food Distributions are made frequently at the Seco Mines Community Center, Quemado Area, and Deer Run Office. Please check with precinct 3 office staff for the next distribution date. Cabbage Boxes Distributed Yesterday At The Quemado Community Center And Seco Mines Community Center

Precinct 3 Will Initiate A Cleanup Campaign On Monday March 12, 2012


Maverick County Precinct 3 - Lets help Commissioner Rosales keep our precinct beautiful and clean. Brush/Bulky item collection will begin soon in your neighborhood. A notice will be delivered to your residence. Upon receiving this notice, you may begin placing items at the curb for collection. All items must be placed at the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2012 the day of the collection. Remember that crews will pass by your house only once. If you reside within the city limits of precinct 3 and you have brush to be picked up, you can call the office at 773-1716 to schedule the pickup. Commissioner Rosales as always would like to thank most importantly our residents for their cooperation and support in making our community the cleanest place to live.

The 100th Paint The Town And Baseball Softball Tournament Turned Out To Be A Great Success This Past Saturday And Sunday



Maverick County Precinct 3 – The 100th Paint The Town Event in honor of Hector Munoz Jr. took place this past Saturday with great sucesss. Kids started early painting and cleaning up our community in an effort to stop graffiti in our neighborhoods. Following this event a baseball and softball tournament took place at the same time with local youth participants from Eagle Pass. Boys and girls competed all day saturday and sunday to honor the memory of Hector Munoz Jr. which is now official Hector Munoz Jr. Recreational Park. Commissioner Rosales and Diana Sanchez paint the town coordinator presented the proclamation to the Munoz family accompanied by the public, local youth teams, ROTC, as well as other supporters. Commissioner Rosales was very pleased with the outcome and at the same time surprised with the great turnout from the public. This event marks only the beginning of more youth activities to come for the community. Commissioner Rosales would like to thank all the sponsors, coordinators, and everyone who lend a helping hand organizing this event. Working together says Rosales is the key to success in this town. If everyone works together alot can be accomplished.
