Maverick County Precinct 3 – The 100th Paint The Town Event in honor of Hector Munoz Jr. took place this past Saturday with great sucesss. Kids started early painting and cleaning up our community in an effort to stop graffiti in our neighborhoods. Following this event a baseball and softball tournament took place at the same time with local youth participants from Eagle Pass. Boys and girls competed all day saturday and sunday to honor the memory of Hector Munoz Jr. which is now official Hector Munoz Jr. Recreational Park. Commissioner Rosales and Diana Sanchez paint the town coordinator presented the proclamation to the Munoz family accompanied by the public, local youth teams, ROTC, as well as other supporters. Commissioner Rosales was very pleased with the outcome and at the same time surprised with the great turnout from the public. This event marks only the beginning of more youth activities to come for the community. Commissioner Rosales would like to thank all the sponsors, coordinators, and everyone who lend a helping hand organizing this event. Working together says Rosales is the key to success in this town. If everyone works together alot can be accomplished.
