Commissioner Rosales Will Initiate A Cleanup Campaign Throughout Precinct 3 On May 7, 2012

Maverick County Precinct 3 - Lets help Commissioner Rosales keep our precinct beautiful and clean. Brush/Bulky item collection will begin soon in your neighborhood. A notice will be delivered to your residence. Upon receiving this notice, you may begin placing items at the curb for collection. All items must be placed at the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2012 the day of the collection. Remember that crews will pass by your house only once. If you reside within the city limits of precinct 3 and you have brush to be picked up, you can call the office at 773-1716 to schedule the pickup. Commissioner Rosales as always would like to thank most importantly our residents for their cooperation and support in making our community the cleanest place to live.

Mosquito Fumigation Spraying To Be Done Throughtout Precinct 3 Tuesday Thru Friday Of This Week











Maverick County Precinct 3 - Commissioner Rosales announced today that effective Tuesday through Friday of this week, precinct 3 will be conducting a neighborhood fumigation spraying for mosquitos. All areas north of Eagle Pass such as Seco Mines, Siesta Acres, Deer Run, Hopedale, and the communities of Quemado and Normandy will all recieve this fumigation service. The spraying will be done at night through streets and alleys and several areas that include heavy grass near streams and arroyos that have been known to incur much mosquitos that can transmit dengue and other diseases. Commissioner Rosales says combating the mosquitos with frequent fumigation is important in keeping our community safe from these diseases. Just a reminder to all residents that the chemical used for spraying is not harmful to humans or pets.

Maverick County Precinct 3 - Al afirmar que el  éxito obtenido en  un evento de venta de platillos en el Precinto 3, el Comisionado José Luis Rosales, se mostró satisfecho por los resultados  obtenidos  de lo que dijo; “prácticamente los residentes del Precinto 3 se volcaron y apoyaron el evento acudiendo en  número a participar con sus compras y  además de formar parte de actividades para reunir fondos para el financiamiento de la campaña política en puerta en la que Rosales  buscara la reelección al cargo,  nos permiten tener un retrato al día y  ver la  realidad de que contamos con el decidido respaldo de los votantes del Precinto  en la elección del próximo 29 de Mayo del 2012.

Record Breaking Number Of Supporters Lined Up Saturday To Show Their Support For Precinct 3 Commissioner Jose Luis Rosales















Maverick County Precinct 3 – With only a few minutes after 10:00 am the volunteers of the Jose Luis Rosales campaign began working diligently as the line of supporters quickly grew. Over 1300 plates were served in just a matter of hours. Some supporters who bought tickets had to wait in line to recieve their plates and others returned at a later time. Commissioner Rosales, apologized on what was happening with the unexpected and overwhelming reponse from the public. One person standing in line stated "this is the largest fundraiser we have ever seen here in Eagle Pass for a political candidate". Commissioner Rosales offered to hand deliver the plates to the resident's homes for those who chose that option. The delivering of plates lasted well until 4:00 pm. in the afternoon with deliveries also being made to each individual address. The Rosales family would like to thank all the volunteers and the hundreds of supporters who helped out in making this fundraiser a huge record breaking success.

USDA Representatives Made Their Monthly Visit To The Office Of Precinct 3

Maverick County Precinct 3 Yesterday, Wednesday April 11 USDA agency representatives made ​​their monthly visit to the office of precinct 3 to meet the needs of families who signed up for appointments. The agency informed us that they had the opportunity to close two major projects with families who qualified in the program to make necessary repairs to homes that will be completely free and without cost to the resident. Commissioner Rosales stated "We encourage residents to take advantage of these programs administered by USDA and call our office to schedule your next visit to be in the month of May." USDA offers a wide variety of free programs for residents who need to connect their home to the drain system, etc. "It's good to also clarify that the agency is making decisions on who qualifies, we as a county have no authority in the decisions of USDA". South Texas Food Bank's Kid's Cafe Coming To The Seco Mines Community Center This Month

Maverick County Precinct 3Kids Cafe is an after-school program that offers nutritious, well-balanced hot meals to children at risk of hunger and will soon be coming to the Maverick County Seco Mines Community Center. Initiated by Feeding America, Kids Cafe provides a safe and positive environment for children ages 15 and under to get fed after school. Kids Cafes provide our local children a grassroots approach to alleviating childhood hunger and to promote self-esteem and individual development. The South Texas Food Bank's Kids Cafe program currently supports 13 Kids Cafe programs in three communities in South Texas. The Seco Mines Community Center will be a new upcoming location in Maverick County initiating it's program this April. The Seco Mines Community Center was chosen because of its adequate facilities and after the kids enjoy a hot meal they may use the computer lab which is already accessible to them, fully equipped with Internet Access and WIFI connectivity. An average of 1,000 children participated in the program close to 150,000 meals were served in 2010. Each Kids Cafe site is operated in partnership with a respected community agency in order to provide the attention and accountability needed to ensure quality programs for children. Although the details and schedules vary by site, most sites feature tutoring, nutrition education, general enrichment activities, mentoring, and nutritious meals. Maverick County Precinct 3 Precinct 3 held a Vaccine Clinic last Saturday hosted by local veterinarian Dr. Claudia Torres. The clinic took place at the Precinct 3 Deer Run Office in Deer Run Subdivision. Residents throughtout Maverick County came out and vaccinated their pets and recieved information on how to keep their pets healthy and up to date on their health records.
