Maverick County Precinct 3 – Yesterday, Wednesday April 11 USDA agency representatives made their monthly visit to the office of precinct 3 to meet the needs of families who signed up for appointments. The agency informed us that they had the opportunity to close two major projects with families who qualified in the program to make necessary repairs to homes that will be completely free and without cost to the resident. Commissioner Rosales stated "We encourage residents to take advantage of these programs administered by USDA and call our office to schedule your next visit to be in the month of May." USDA offers a wide variety of free programs for residents who need to connect their home to the drain system, etc. "It's good to also clarify that the agency is making decisions on who qualifies, we as a county have no authority in the decisions of USDA".
