Maverick County Precinct 3 Seco Mines Community Center to open new computer lab

Maverick County Precinct 3 – Today marks an important milestone for Maverick County Precinct 3, the announcement of a new computer lab that will be located at the Seco Mines Community Center to help prepare students and adults of all ages to understand and learn the importance of computer technology. Topics tutored will be from computer basics to creating an email and learning how to communicate electronically. A highly experienced computer certified technician will be managing the lab and instructing the students. This computer lab will benefit all of Precinct 3 areas such as Seco Mines, Fabrica Townsite, Deer Run, Hopedale, Academy Estates, Chaparral Estates, Radar Base, and any other vicinities that fall within the precinct 3 jurisdiction. Commissioner Rosales believes that today our citizens are going to need the right tools to not only compete but to thrive in an economy that's increasingly driven by technical jobs. The newly designed lab will include 10 desktop computers equipped with internet connectivity, educational software, and wireless WIFI Web access and printing. The new computer lab is a great example of how public agencies, nonprofits and businesses can all work together to help our citizens advance and succeed in their future endeavors. Commissioner Rosales is very excited about this new project and encourages the public to be on the lookout for the new lab coming soon for Precinct 3 and to be ready to sign up as space will be limited.
