Commissioner Rosales to address flooding issue at Becos and Rodriguez streets

Maverick County Precinct 3 (SPANISH) - El comisionado del precinto 3, José Luis Rosales, dio a conocer que se busca ayudar a familias que residen en las calles Becos y Rodríguez en este precinto para evitar que sus casas se inunden cuando llueva. Dijo que para ello se propuso ante la Corte de Comisionados

la contratación de una empresa para la construcción de drenaje pluvial que capte el agua de lluvia, además de 150 pies lineales de drenaje para desague. Rosales manifestó que éste es uno de los proyectos en los que se ha venido trabajando con la finalidad de solucionar problemas que tienen algunos de los vecinos de este sector en época de lluvias. Manifestó que es importante que la comunidad sepa que se busca atender todas las necesidades posibles con el presupuesto que en estos momentos se tiene, dada la difícil situación financiera por la que atraviesa el condado. Dijo que el condado espera una recuperación económica favorable que se ha venido dando poco a poco con la labor del juez del condado. Agregó que con parte de los recursos que se han recibido, el condado ha cubierto ya algunas deudas que se tenían, principalmente de las compañías que abastecen de materiales para la realización de diferentes obras.

Precinct 3 Road and Bridge Employees will be constructing speed humps in several school areas throughout the precinct

Maverick County Precinct 3 - Precinct 3 Road and Bridge employees have begun constructing speed humps throughout the precinct school zone areas, Some of the areas of focus are Seco Mines Elementary, Texas Migrant Council, and Pete Gallegos Elementary. Commissioner Rosales stated that more speed humps will be constructed soon throughout the surrounding areas of these schools. This important safety measure gives not only me but the residents a peace of mind that our children will be protected in these heavily traffic locations.

Precinct 3 Cleanup Campaign will be taking place soon in your neighborhood

Maverick County Precinct 3 - To all Precinct 3 residents outside the city limits, Brush/Bulky item collection will begin soon in your neighborhood. A notice will be delivered to your residence. Upon receiving this notice, you may begin placing items at the curb for collection. All items must be placed at the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2012 the day of the collection. Remember that crews will pass by your house only once. If you reside within the city limits of precinct 3 and you have brush to be picked up, you can call the office at 773-1716 to schedule the pickup. Commissioner Rosales would like to thank all the residents for their cooperation and support in making our community the cleanest place to live.
