Seco Mines Community Center Adopt A Family Program Distributed Their Monthly Supplemental Food Bags

Maverick County Precinct 3 - The Seco Mines Community Center distributed their monthly supplemental food bags to Maverick County residents as part of the Adopt-A-Family program. The Adopt-A-Family is a program that is offered by the South Texas Food Bank and allows the community to become part of an effort to help alleviate the hunger problem that exists here in our community. This program is offered in eight counties with Maverick County being one of them. Any one wishing to sponsor or adopt a local family can do so by paying a small fee of $120 per year or $10 per month. The adopted family will receive a 30 lb. bag of supplemental food that will help them through part of the month. As a sponsor you can either choose a family or a family is chosen from a waiting list. Radio Station La Rancherita Del Aire Interviews Commissioner Jose Luis Rosales

Maverick County Precinct 3 - Piedras Negras radio station “La Rancherita Del Aire" 580 AM interviewed Commissioner Jose Luis Rosales. Phone lines were open to the public to express their opinions on questions pertaining to Maverick County Precinct 3. Some topics discussed by the commissioner were Solid Waste Collections, Proximity and Boundaries of the precinct, Current projects taking place, and future organizational strategies that Commissioner Rosales has planned for his re-election term. Interview lasted approximately 38 minutes long and is in Spanish Audio format.

Scoreboard will be installed at the Quemado Baseball Park located in Quemado, Texas

Maverick County Precinct 3 – A baseball scoreboard was donated to the Quemado Valley residents by local business owners Juan Perez and Daniel Perez from the Quemado Valley Store. This scoreboard will be installed at the Quemado Baseball Park by Precinct 3 workers and will be ready for use by the middle of January. This donation is part of an ongoing effort from the community together with Precinct 3 that will be done throughout the year to promote youth activities and motivate our kids to participate more in sports, says commissioner Rosales. Commissioner Rosales would like to thank Juan and Daniel Perez for their wonderful contribution to the Quemado Valley community.
