Plant A Tree Project takes place in Quemado
Maverick County Precinct 3 – The Southwest Texas Junior College Kinesiology class of Mrs. Hardt held their Plant A Tree Project yesterday at the Quemado Public Library. Commissioner Rosales stated that is very important for our community to understand the significance of planting these trees and how it helps the environment we live in. Coming together with our youth like this demonstrates the effort we have in our community and shows a perfect example on how we can help to beautify the town as well. Commissioner Rosales always demonstrates a strong interest in our environment and plans on having more projects like this to encourage a safer and green earth.

Great turnout on 1st U.S. Citizenship clinic
Maverick County Precinct 3 - Our first U.S. Citizenship Clinic was held at the Deer Run Administration office this past saturday October 1, 2011. Commissioner Jose Luis Rosales is very pleased with the great turnout from the community. We had people from all over the county signup for this free clinic and the attendance was overwhelming. Residents from precinct 3 are encouraged to come by the office Mon-Fri 8-5 pm or call 773-1716 to set up a new appoinment. Attorney Ricardo Calderon is also accepting follow up visits for those of you who have previously visited with him. Commissioner Jose Luis Rosales was present at the last clinic and pointed out that he recognizes the strong need for residents to become US citizens, and will do what it takes to prepare our residents during this process, Therefore Precinct 3 will be having these citizenship clinics on saturdays to help out the community to further advance themselves.
