Environmental Meeting held at the Seco Mines Community Center

Maverick County Precinct 3  An environmental meeting was held at the Seco Mines Community center yesterday to discuss issues and suggestions on the campaign and opposition of the Dos Republicas Coal Mine possibly opening in Eagle Pass in the near future. A letter has been written by the Maverick County Environmental & Public Health Association with signatures of opposing individuals requesting that the hearing currently scheduled to take place in Austin, Texas be held in Eagle Pass once more. Commissioner Jose Luis Rosales strongly advices everyone that is againts the Dos Republicas Coal Mine to attend these environmental meetings to find out more on how you can help the association in the battle against the opening of a coal mine in our city. Together we can make a difference and your ideas are much needed.
